I've paired them up with my Great River MP2NV, True Systems Precision 8, and Neotek Series 1E. I'm pretty happy with the sounds I'm getting. The Fathead produced more low end, the 414 gave it more attack and more clarity. I'm currently using a pair of Lundahl-modded Fathead IIs on overheads and they sound really great. In fact, I bought them originally for guitars, but once I tried them on overheads, I found myself using them more for that. It sounded pretty good until i compared it to my AKG 414 B-ULS.
