To be honest,I was in love with the first book of this series which is about Peter and his little brother Fudge. I found Sheila quite annoying. Oh, well, there were a few funny parts, and the kids liked anytime the dog Jennifer was mentioned. So she passes the job to two older boys that form committees and have fun with making one, and she feels left out, until she decides to become a weather forecaster (so she can know in advance when a thunderstorm is coming). Here I thought I was working my way through the Judy Blume catalog because many of her books are viewed as classics of children's literature. One thing I normally like about books is that the main character has an arc...they grow and change throughout the book. This book features Peter's classmate Sheila. In other words, can he still follow the flow of events without reading the 2nd book? Sheila is your normal kid and this is a nice book for kids her age and it still holds up.
